ABOUT THE RECEPTION IN THE EMBASSY OF RUSSIA IN INDONESIA
ON THE OCCASION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM
“WHAT ARE ASIA’S GOALS IN THE ASIAN CENTURY?”

On November 26, 2015 in the Embassy of Russia in Jakarta the reception on the occasion of the international scientific symposium "What are Asia's Goals in the Asian Century?" organized by Valdai Discussion Club and authoritative Indonesian analytical institute "Habibie Center" took place. The event was attended by organizers and participants of the forum - prominent political analysts from many states of Asia Pacific Region: Russia, Indonesia, China, India, Cambodia, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Japan and some others.

The participants were greeted by speeches by the Russian Ambassador in Indonesia H.E. Mr. M.Galuzin, the Executive Director of "the Habibie Center" H.E. Ms. Rahimah Abdulrahim, the Advisor to the Executive Director of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club Mr. L.Burmistrov.

Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia, the Special Representative of the President of Indonesia on investment cooperation with Russia H.E. Ms. Susi Pudjiastuti was the honorary guest at the reception. She also gave a speech.

The importance of development of dialogue of political scientists, analysts and experts of Asia-Pacific in a wide range of problems of foreign policy and international security, economy and sociocultural sphere with a view to deepening of mutual understanding and trust, search of new opportunities for cooperation in the region, working out recommendations for government structures was unanimously emphasized.

The reception took place in a warm friendly atmosphere and proved to be a good start for fruitful discussions at the symposium which took place on November 27 in Le Meridian Hotel in Jakarta.
