About reception on the occasion of the Day of Russia

On June 11, 2014 at the Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan Hotel in Jakarta the Russian Embassy in Indonesia held a reception on the occasion of the National holiday of our country – the Day of Adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation (Day of Russia), which is celebrated on June 12.

The reception was attended by about 400 guests, including representatives of official, political, military, scientific, cultural, social circles of Indonesia, Mass Media, representatives of the foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Jakarta, as well as Russian compatriots who live and work in Indonesia. Among the guests there were H.E. Mr. Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Defence of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. M.Sohibul Iman, Deputy Chairman of the People's Representatives Council (Parliament) of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. D.Singh, Special Envoy of the President of Indonesia on the Alleviation of Poverty, H.E. Mr. Jimly Asshiddiqie, Chairman of the Elections Monitoring Agency, H.E. Mr. R.Lukman, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, Mr. Din Syamsudin, Chairman of the prominent Islamic organizations Muhammadiyah, Ambassadors of Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, Bulgaria, Byelorussia, Croatia, Cuba, Egypt, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, Panama, Paraguay, Qatar, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Zimbabwe, China's permanent representative at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Chargé d'affaires' of China, Jordan and Slovakia, senior diplomats of the Embassies of many other states.

The guests were greeted with the welcoming speech by Mr. Mikhail Y.Galuzin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia. On behalf of the Government of Indonesia the welcoming speech was delivered by H.E. Mr. Purnomo Yusgiantoro.

The reception was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

During the reception there were also a photo exhibition dedicated to the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

Russian Embassy express its appreciation to the company "Rostekhnologii", "TransAsia Resorsez" and the company "AAL" for facilitating the reception.
