VISA INFORMATION

CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

According to the Directive of the Government of the Russian Federation № 635-p of March 16, 2020, due to the emergency efforts aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) the Russian Federation has decided to temporarily restrict entry for foreigners and stateless persons to Russia from March 18, 2020, 00.00 (local time), to May 1, 2020, 00.00 (local time).

The said restrictions are not applied to the following categories of visitors: employees (and their family members) of diplomatic missions and consular offices, international organizations and their representations, other official foreign representations located in the Russian Federation; drivers of the motor vehicles engaged in international transportation, crew members of aircrafts, sea and river vessels, international trains; members of official delegations; bearers of diplomatic, official or regular private visas (only for those planning to attend funerals of a close relatives, provided that all the relevant certificates are submitted); persons permanently residing in the Russian Federation; transit passengers travelling through air border crossing points (airports).

In this regard, starting from March 18, 2020, 00:00 (local time) all the Russian diplomatic and consular missions abroad temporarily suspend accepting any visa applications except for the persons mentioned above.

E-visa services are also suspended till May 1, 2020, 00.00 (local time).

 

 

E-VISA TO THE CITY OF SAINT PETERSBURG AND THE LENINRGAD REGION

 

According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation № 347 of July 18, 2019, starting from October 1, 2019, citizens of 53 countries, including nationals of the Republic of Indonesia, can apply for single business, humanitarian, and tourist e-visas at the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru to visit the City of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation.

E-visa is free of charge and is issued upon application at the above mentioned website no later than 4 (four) days before the date of entry into the City of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, with a digital photo attached. No other document is required to get an e-visa. Travel companies can check possession of  such e-visa for a foreign tourist at the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: https://evisacheck.kdmid.ru.

The e-visas are valid for 30 (thirty) days starting from the date of issue and grant the permit to stay in the Russian Federation
8 (eight) days since the date of entry.

The e-visas can be used only at the following border crossing points in the territory of the City of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region:

  1. Saint-Petersburg International Airport (Pulkovo);
  2. Seaports of Vysotsk, Big Port of Saint Petersburg (Marine Station), Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg;
  3. Vehicle crossing points of Ivangorod, Torfyanovka, Brusnichnoye, Svetogorsk;
  4. Pedestrian checkpoint of Ivangorod.  

To date, entry to and exit from the City of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on the e-visas are not available by railway transport due to technical reasons.

Foreign citizens who have obtained e-visas to visit the City of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region can stay and travel within the said territories only. It is prohibited to use e-visas to enter the other territory of the Russian Federation.

 

E-VISA TO THE KALINIGRAD REGION

 

According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation № 595 of May 15, 2019, starting from July 1, 2019, citizens of  53 countries, including nationals of the Republic of Indonesia, can apply for single business, humanitarian, and tourist e-visas at the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru to visit the Kaliningrad Region of the Russian Federation.

E-visa is free of charge and is issued upon application at the above mentioned website no later than 4 (four) days before the date of entry into the Kaliningrad Region, with a digital photo attached. No other document is required to get an e-visa.

The e-visas are valid for 30 (thirty) days starting from the date of issue and grant the permit to stay in the Russian Federation
8 (eight) days since the date of entry.

The e-visas can be used only at the following border crossing points in the territory of the Kaliningrad region:

  1. Kaliningrad International Airport (Khrabrovo);
  2. Seaports of Kaliningrad (Kaliningrad, Baltiysk, Svetly);
  3. Vehicle crossing points: Bagrationovsk, Gusev, Mamonovo (Gzhekhotki), Mamonovo (Gronovo), Morskoye, Pogranichnyy, Sovetsk, Chernyshevskoye;
  4. Railway crossing points Mamonovo and Sovetsk.  

Foreign citizens who have obtained e-visas to visit the Kaliningrad Region can stay and travel within the territory of the Kaliningrad Region only. The e-visas cannot be used to enter the other territory of the Russian Federation.

 

According to the Action Plan for the Customs Union within the Eurasian Economic Community starting from July 1, 2011 all types of transport communications among the members of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia are considered as internal, which means the absence of border and customs clearance at the border of the member-states. In this regard, the the right for 24-hours no-visa transit will not be applied in this case. Thus, the third-country nationals who intend to go to Belarus and Kazakhstan through the territory of the Russian Federation are required to apply for transit visas. From 15th June 2012 citizens of Australia when applying for entrance visa to the Russian Federation will need to fill in visa application form in two pages, which is similar to visa application forms for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, the United States of America, Canada and Georgia. Besides, to ensure a principle of reciprocity citizens of Australia entering the Russian Federation for official visit or business purpose will need to submit  a detailed curriculum vitae in Russian language only.

Documents Necessary for Visa application

Online Visa Application (https://visa.kdmid.ru/PetitionChoice.aspx)

 

Tourist visa (single or double entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the expected visa expiry date and have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. Visa Application form filled in on the website visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and signed personally by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

3. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

4. Confirmation of acceptance of a foreign tourist (good quality color scanned copy is acceptable) issued by a Russian organization which is authorized to carry out tour operator activities and is registered in the Unified Federal Register of Tour Operators under a unique reference number (MVT); the confirmation should contain:

confirmation number;

number of entries;

full name, date of birth, sex, citizenship and passport number of the tourist;

duration of stay (dates of entry and exit);

purpose of visit (specified by the current Russian legislation);

itinerary and places of accommodation;

receiving organization’s address and its MVT;

signature of an authorized person of the tour agency and its official seal.

 

Business visa (single, double & multiple entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the expected visa expiry date and have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. Visa Application form filled in on the website  visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and personally signed by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

3. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

4. The official original invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation upon the request of the Russian receiving organization/company sent to the applicant by post or courier

OR a good quality fax or scanned copy of the invitation issued by:

the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCI of Russia);

the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP);

the Russian Organization for Small and Medium Entrepreneurship (OPORA Russia);

theRussian Union of Manufacturers (Employers).

 

Private visa (single or double entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the expected visa expiry date and have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. Visa Application form filled in on the website  visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and personally signed by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

3. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

4. The official original invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation upon the request of the receiving person/relative/friend in Russiasent to the applicant by post or courier.

 

Student visa (single or double entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should bevalid for a period of 1.5 years from the first day of the visa validity periodand have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. Visa Application form filled in on the website  visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and personally signed by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

3. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

4. The official original invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation upon the request of the receiving educational institution/university/academy/college in Russia sent to the applicant by post or courier

OR original visa request/admission letter issued by a hosteducational institution/university/academy/college of the Russian Federation with the obligatory mentioning of:

a) for the invited person - name and surname, date of birth, sex, citizenship, number and type of the identity document, period and purpose of the travel, number of entries;

b) for the inviting organization - full name and legal and de facto addresses; name, surname and position of the authorized signatory of the letter, and his/her telephone number

OR original student card issued by a host educational institution/university/academy/college of the Russian Federation;

1. The HIV blood test certificate. The test is to be taken not earlier than 3 months prior to the application.

 

Employment visa (single entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should be valid for a period of 1.5 years from the first day of the visa validity period and have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. Visa Application form filled in on the website  visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and personally signed by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

3. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

4. The official original invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on request of the receiving organization/companyin Russia sent to the applicant by post or courier

5. The HIV blood test certificate. The test is to be taken not earlier than 3 months prior to the application.

 

Transit visa (single entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the expected visa expiry date and have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. A valid visa to the country neighboring the Russian Federation/country of the destination or the passport of this country;

3. Visa Application form filled in on the website  visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and personally signed by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

4. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

5. Tickets with fixed/confirmed departure date from the Russian Federation.

Transit visa is not required in case a person does not leave the territory of the airport of arrival, joins the connecting flight at the same airport and the time period between the two connecting flights does not exceed 24 hours.

 

Humanitarian visa (single, double & multiple entry):

1. Valid Passport (+ a good quality scanned copy of the page with the photo and the address page). The passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the expected visa expiry date and have at least two blank (without any stamps, inscriptions, etc.) pages facing each other for stamping by the Immigration Officer;

2. Visa Application form filled in on the website  visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and personally signed by the applicant in the due field of the form. When selecting the location for submission of the documents please specify the Visa Center/Russian Consular Institution you will be applying at;

3. One passport size good quality photo (35x45 mm) with the light background;

4. The official original invitation issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation upon the request of the receiving organization in Russia sent to the applicant by post or courier.

ORthe visa request letter (in original or a good quality color scanned copy) issued by a hostscientific/cultural/educational/sports/religious/philanthropic organization of the Russian Federation with the obligatory mentioning of:

a) for the invited person - name and surname, date of birth, sex, citizenship, number and type of the identity document, dates and purpose of travel, number of entries;

b) for the inviting organization - full name and legal and de facto addresses; name, surname and position of the authorized signatory of the letter, and his/her telephone number

AFTER YOU RECIEVE YOUR VISA, PLEASE, CHECK IT FOR POSSIBLE 

MISTAKES (PASSPORT NUMBER, DATE OF BIRTH & TERM OF VALIDITY).

 

CONSULAR SECTION WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISTAKES IN THE VISAS, WHICH WERE NOT BROUGHT TO ITS ATTENTION PRIOR TO THE DEPARTURE FROM INDONESIA.

 

RUSSIAN CONSULATE CONSULATE DOES NOT ISSUE VISAS TO ANY OTHER REPUBLIC OF CIS.
